The Red Bull Ring is a braking-and-traction circuit, calling for “medium-downforce” levels. The balance between the number of corners and lengths of the straights is similar to the Montreal track. However, the nature of the corners is substantially different with flowing corners in place of chicanes, and changes of elevation. Braking is also a key factor.
After an eventful Grand Prix of Azerbaijan, the Sauber F1 Team makes its way to this round with one more World Championship point in its pocket. The back-to-back races in Spielberg and Silverstone are among the most traditional races on the calendar, and impress with a vibrant atmosphere and large number of passionate fans.
