Another club has pulled out of the race for Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, with Besiktas manager Senol Gunes quashing rumours surrounding the Italian's future.

When speaking on their transfer targets, Gunes said both Balotelli and Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov are not part of the Turkish club's plans this summer.

“There were rumours about Aleksandar Kolarov but he wasn't in my plans,” Gunes said.

“Balotelli isn't in my plans either. I don't have a favourable view of Mario Balotelli. I have never expressed a positive insight on him.”

Liverpool are keen to show Balotelli the door after another failed experiment involving the 25-year-old.

Balotelli's wages are the biggest road block for interested clubs, as the £110,000 a week wage bill seems too hard to justify.
