Brad Jones Racing have arrived in Perth sporting a brand new one off ‘Supporting Equality' livery for the next round on the Supercars schedule this weekend.
The new 50 50 blue and pink livery is in support of gender equality, just as their spectacular livery at the Australian Grand Prix in March did.
“It's a simple message of supporting gender equality. Whilst motorsport is a male dominated sport, we need to be open and inclusive to everyone,” said team boss Brad Jones, reiterating that there is no gender bias in his workplace, if you are right for the job, then so be it, being male or female doesn't come into it.
Nick Percat will be the proud driver of the brightly coloured Holden, who is also on board for this event, and he couldn't be prouder to be behind the wheel….
“The guys and girls at BJR are passionate about motorsport and each bring a unique skill set to the team to make it what it is. Brad and Kim have employed a great bunch of people there and I've often said it doesn't matter whether you are a driver, mechanic, or the TAFE student helping out, everyone is treated exactly the same,” he said.
“We've had a pretty interesting start to the season. We've got a few rounds coming up that BJR are traditionally strong at so we'll be looking to qualify further up the front and keep out of the trouble that we've unfortunately been caught up in over the last few rounds.”
