Australian midfielder Josh Brillante is reportedly set to sign with A-League club Sydney FC.

Fairfax Media has reported that Brillante is looking to terminate the third year of his current contract with Serie A side, Fiorentina, after agreeing to personal terms with the Sky Blues.

Since signing for Fiorentina in 2014 from the Newcastle Jets, the 23-year-old has been sent on loan to Serie B sides, Empoli and Como.

He has made five appearances for the Socceroos.

A deal could be finalised by the end of the week, pending a release from the final year of his contract with Fiorentina.
