Tim Cahill's manager has dashed the hopes of A-League clubs looking to sign the Socceroos star.

After his sudden axing from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, Cahill will sign for another Chinese club.

“He will stay in China. I'm in Asia now and will be with him in two days to discuss potential deals (and) there are a few interested clubs,” Cahill's manager Ante Alilovic told AAP.

Cahill scored 11 goals in 28 appearances for Shenhua.
