As the Mobil 1 HSV Supercar team continue to work on the development of their 2017 contenders, they have opted to make a few more changes to their current design team.
Alex Somerset, who used to be race engineer to car 2, has know been moved to where he will solely focus on the design element of the car and hand his role over to Rob Starr, who successfully stepped into the position at the recent test day, and as such those duties will continue this weekend at the Sydney Motorsport Park.
“We are proud and privileged to have Rob, a legend of the sport, and a man with 26-years experience within the team stepping into the role,” the team said in a statement.
