Chelsea have made a third bid for Everton defender John Stones after their first two were rejected by the Merseyside club.

The Premier League champions have made an increased bid of £30m for the highly rated 21-year-old.

Everton is adamant it will not sell centre-back Stones and it is confident he is committed to the club, despite the ongoing contract saga.

“He loves Everton, he loves the club and the team and he is an incredible professional, so no, I don't think you would ever expect him to sulk – he will always react professionally," Everton manager Roberto Martinez said.
