A company that was called Bronze Fortune Limited, changed its name by Resolution in Britain's Company House last month so that it is now known as China F1 Racing Team Limited.
Now, while it is not unusual for companies to change hands and names, this one has the internet all a flutter as they ponder the arrival of a new Formula One Racing team on the grid in the very near future.
Since the Monaco Grand Prix, there have been whispers of a new team forming, with some saying former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is the cash and influence behind such a venture, even if the name behind this particular venture is that of a former French sports car driver.
FIA President jean Todt has also confirmed that there has been some interest from teams about joining the grid, but refused to elaborate, except to say there are two available places in the series if there were any really keen teams wanting to join that could pass the tender process.
However, he was quick to point out that there is not anywhere near enough time to get a competitive team ready in time for the 2018 F1 season and that it would be foolish for anyone to entertain such an idea.
One must wonder however, that if this person/company is that serious, why didn't they pick up the Manor team when it was up for sale earlier this year?
