The Williams F1 team has confirmed that Doug Lafferty will be joining the company in the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) later this year.
Doug joins Williams from British American Tobacco, where he has most recently been Head of Finance for the Americas region. He joined BAT in 2001 and has since held positions of increasing responsibility during a very successful, international career with the Company.
"I'm thrilled to be joining a company of Williams stature and genuinely believe the company has a bright future ahead, both on the track and in the continued development of the Advanced Engineering business. I very much look forward to working closely with Mike and the rest of the board to ensure the company reaches its potential," he said.
Doug will take up his new role with Company in September.
