English T20 match stopped because it was too sunny

We all know weather can have a big impact on cricket matches.

However, this one is a strange one.

Play was stopped for 17 minutes during the Kent Spitfires' T20 blast match with Sussex Sharks because it was too sunny.

Sussex was 0-5 after 1.2 overs, chasing 167 for victory, when the sun was positioned between a gap in the stands, making play almost possible, with the sun directly in the batsman's eye-line.

When play eventually resumed, the Sharks fell 10 runs short of the target, handing the Spitfires victory.
