Former Perth Glory striker Andy Keogh has had a potential return to the club knocked back by the FFA.

Perth had looked at luring Keogh back to the Glory as a guest player to help boost Perth's support and get the Glory's crowds back up.

The club is close to finalising a deal for Keogh for next season, however, had also intended to bring him in as a guest player for the remainder of this season.

However, the FFA have said that Keogh does not meet the criteria of a guest player.

The Glory are believed to be incensed by the decision, with the club believing that the block is still due to Perth's salary cap scandal. But the FFA have denied that is the case.
