Australian NBA prospects Tyrese Proctor, Alex Toohey, Rocco Zikarsky, Alex Condon and Ben Henshall have all declared for the upcoming NBA draft.

As well as the five Aussies who have declared for the draft, two NBL Next Stars in Perth's Izan Almansa and South East Melbourne's Malique Lewis will also be putting their hands up for selection.

After winning the NCAA national title and putting together an impressive college season, Florida Gators' Alex Condon is the only one of the five Aussies expected to be taken in the first round.

The Perth native averaged 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 blocks in 24.9 minutes per game at Florida and will enter the draft with the intention of retaining his NCAA eligibility should he wish to see out his college basketball career or not get drafted at all.

Toohey is projected as the next best prospect behind Condon after an impressive season in the Next Stars program at the Sydney Kings.

He spent two years in Sydney and received the 2024-2025 season's NBL Next Generation Award after averaging 10.6 points and 1.4 steals per game.

Rocco Zikarsky is another prospect who will head to the draft straight out of the NBL after spending two seasons with the Brisbane Bullets.

He didn't get much of a look in at the Bullets, averaging 4.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game with limited playing time, but the 7'3 giant has plenty of upside.

The last Aussie prospect to declare from the draft straight out of our national league is Henshall, who had a promising season with the Perth Wildcats.

He averaged 9.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game and took home the league's most improved player award.

Tyrese Proctor is a Sydney native currently playing college ball for Duke in the USA and hopes to be picked up by a team in the draft.

He was a key player in the Duke team averaging 12.4 points per game and helping the side reach the final four of the NCAA tournament before being knocked out.

There are currently 14 Aussies in the NBA, and this year's draft could see that number skyrocket and help replace ageing stars like Joe Ingles and Patty Mills once their time in the States is up.
