Former Aussie cricketer threatening to sue Eels

Former Australian fast bowler Nathan Bracken is threatening to sue NRL club Parramatta Eels because his sister in-law was rejected as a team cheerleader, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Telegraph has reported that Bracken has also quit as a club ambassador.

Bracken, who sued Cricket Australia in 2012 for long term damage caused by persistent knee injuries, has reportedly claimed that the audition process was unfair and biased against his wife Hayley's sister, Tersha Rich.

“In 2016 the club obtained the services of the leading NRL cheerleading coach with over 20 years experience,” a club spokesperson said.

“The standard of participants at the auditions were substantially higher than previous years.

“The claims made post the auditions were investigated and found to be unsubstantiated.

“We are disappointed that the Brackens have decided to end their association over this matter.”
