Current Australian assistant coach and former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori, and former Indian star batsman VVS Laxman have been added to the Men's Cricket Committee at the ICC.
The ICC's committee - with separate names on both the men's and women's version - help guide the playing conditions and processes regarding the international game.
Not to be confused with the MCC's cricket committee that Shane Warne was previously part of, the ICC's committee have sole guidance over the international game, rather than the laws of cricket as the MCC do.
Vettori and Laxman will form the "representatives of current players" component of the committee, while former West Indies all-rounder Roger Harper was voted onto the committee as the past player representative.
The committee is headed up by former Indian batsman Sourav Ganguly, and also features names like Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardena and Shaun Pollock, who serves in a media representative role.
Joel Wilson and Ranjan Madugalle also represent umpires and match referees respectively on the committee, who met in Birmingham ahead of women's cricket making its debut at the Commonwealth Games this week for the annual general meeting to elect new members.
The committee - as well as the MCC committee - have plenty of big questions to answer around the game in coming years, with law changes being enacted just months ago over batsmen being able to cross after a caught dismissal and the mankad rule.
