After focussing on race simulations in the opening 45 minute free practice session at the Barbagello Raceway in Perth today, the four Prodrive racers, Frosty, Chaz, Waters and Bright, opted for a more aggressive approach in the second and final session for the day, bolting on green tyres in the dying stages of practice to improve their times.
Mark Winterbottom was the fastest PRA car of the day in both outings, finishing fourth quickest at the end of session two, pleased with his direction with more still to come from the car here tomorrow.
"I'm pretty happy with fourth,” Frosty said. “The car is pretty much there but tomorrow's practice session will be important. There are a few little things that we need to look at to make the tyre last a little bit longer compared to the other guys in the team but we have a pretty good idea of what we need to do. The car is competitive so if we can make it that little bit better again it'll be good."
