Manchester City have made their sixth signing under Pep Guardiola, after completing a deal for young Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus.
The 19-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Manchester club, but will remain on loan at Palmeiras until December before joining his new teammates in January.
Jesus' services cost City £27m, with the youngster one of the most highly touted up-and-coming players from Brazil.
“Manchester City is one of the best clubs in the world so I'm really pleased to sign,” Jesus said on the City website.
“We have many great talents in the team and a fantastic manager in Pep Guardiola that I can learn so much from.
“I'm looking forward to showing the City fans what I can do and I think we'll have a great future together!”
Jesus scored 26 goals in 67 games at Palmeiras and was named Best Newcomer in the Brazilian top flight in 2015.
He is currently on duty with the Brazilian Olympic team, and will feature alongside Neymar throughout the Olympic Games in Rio.
