Former Australian quick Jason Gillespie will return home after announcing yesterday that he will leave his post as head coach of English County side Yorkshire at the end of the season.
Gillespie is one of the most sought after coaches in world cricket at the moment, after leading Yorshire out of second division and to back-to-back County Championships in 2014 and 2015.
The side has only lost five out of 76 matches with Gillespie at the helm.
Yorkshire released a statement on Monday thanking the 71-Test veteran for his time at the club.
"Yorkshire County Cricket Club can confirm that Jason Gillespie will leave his position as 1st XI coach at the end of the 2016 season," the statement said.
"The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Jason, who led Yorkshire from the second division to consecutive Championship titles, along the way suffering just five defeats in 76 Championship fixtures since his appointment in November 2011.
"His wife Anna and their four children have recently returned to Australia and, with the 41-year-old's existing commitments to coaching the Adelaide Strikers in Australia's Big Bash, Jason feels the close season is an appropriate time to part company."
