India to host day-night Test

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed that it will host its first day-night Test later this year.

India will play against New Zealand, who were part of the first ever day-night Test in Adelaide in November last year.

"We have decided that we will play one day-night Test match with pink ball against New Zealand later this year," BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said.

"Before that the Duleep Trophy will act as a dress rehearsal for the day-night Test match."

"While we have not zeroed in on the venue, there are lots of factors that need to be taken into account.
