Aussie Moto GP star Jack Miller rode superbly to eighth place in Sunday afternoon's rain hit Malaysian Grand Prix to claim his fifth top ten finish of the season with just one race remaining in the 2016 championship season.

After starting down in 14thplace, Miller charged though to tenth place, even though he was unable to find the optimum set-up for the wet Sepang track during practice or qualifying.

Then, following on from a mid-race battle with Alvaro Bautista for eighth place, the young Aussie crossed the finish line as the leading Honda rider, finishing one second ahead of Pol Espargaro.

now he is looking ahead to the season finale at the Valencia circuit in Spain in ten days' time where he is hoping for a strong conclusion to the year…

"I am always looking for more but in the conditions I can take this result, it was pretty good considering the really tricky conditions, it wasn't easy to stay on the bike,” he said of his eighth place finish. “All weekend I had not been comfortable with our set-up in the wet so I was reasonably happy to bring it home in the top ten and be the first Honda rider. Now it's off to Valencia and, hopefully, a strong finish to the season.”
