Newcastle Jets have signed Serbian striker Milos Trifunović ahead of the 2015-16 season.

The 30-year-old has joined Newcastle from Serbian SuperLiga side FK Radnički Niš and has enjoyed successful stints in Europe and Asia throughout his career.

Trifunović has scored roughly one goal every three matches in his last five years as a professional footballer, during which he has represented Serbia's Red Star Belgrade, Uzbekistan's FC Bunyodkor, China's Lioning Whowin, Kazakhstan's FC Atryau and most recently FK Radnički Niš.

“We believe Miloš will prove to be a valuable addition to our squad and someone who will provide a presence for us in our attacking third,” Jets' coach Scott Miller said.

“Miloš is a clinical finisher with a strong record in leagues in Europe and Asia, and will help deliver the attacking platform to support the team structure."

“We are confident Miloš' character and mentality will have a positive impact on the team, and are delighted that he is able to start training with the squad today.”
