Scott McLaughlin is looking forward to starting the 2017 Supercars Championship in March as he switches teams for the first time since joining the series full time back in 2013.
After three successful years, eight victories and 20 podium finishes with Garry Rogers Motorsport, Scott will make the move to DJR Team Penske this year driving the number 17 Ford FG X Falcon.
“I like the Red New year,” Scotty said on Facebook, referring to the colours of his new drive. “Fresh start, can't wait to get into it with DJR Team Penske.”
While his old team will miss seeing Scotty's smiling face around the garage this year, they will be doing everything they can to finish ahead of him on track…
“Scotty, I am very proud of the manner in which you have represented yourself, our sport, our sponsors and our Team,” Garry Rogers said. “We will all miss having you around, but cannot wait to 2017 when we will all be out trying to beat you!”
