New Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas may not have been out on the test track like his colleagues at Ferrari, however the Finn has been hard at work in Brackley this week as he returned to the factory to continue with his preparations for the rapidly approaching 2017 Formula One Championship season.

“Been great few days in Brackley and the work to get ready for the season continues for all of us here,” Valtteri tweeted.

Bottas has been at the factory since Monday however he didn't manage to spend any time with the man he will be partnering this season, three time world champion Lewis Hamilton as the Brit has been busy undergoing an intensive pre-season training session of his own in Mexico.

“Had an amazing week training in Mexico. I love it here,” Hamilton tweeted on Wednesday. “Starting to think of it like a second home. Be back soon.”

The season will will be well and truly underway in less than two weeks time when the first of the ten teams in this year's championship, Renault, unveil their new 2017 contender on Feb 21.
