Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi has been found guilty of three counts of tax fraud and sentenced to 21 months in prison.
Messi's father, Jorge has also been sentenced to 21 months in jail.
Prosecutors alleged that tax havens in Uruguay and Belize were used to hide earnings from image right, with Messi owing over four million euros in back payments.
However, despite the prison sentence, Messi and his father are unlikely to go to jail.
Under Spanish law, a prison sentence under two years can be served under probation.
Messi was also fined two million euros and his father fined one and a half million euros.
