Australian paceman Mitchell Starc set a new MCG record on day five, but surprisingly it was with the bat and not the ball.

He hit three fours and seven sixes in his knock, breaking the record for the most number of sixes hit in a single Test innings at the MCG.
All-rounder Andrew Symonds previously held the record for the most sixes in an innings, with six.
