Chaz Mostert took victory in the second and final race of the weekend here at the Phillip Island Circuit on Sunday, the third round of the 2017 Supercar Championship season.
His Prodrive racing teammate, Mark Winterbottom, followed him across the line with David Reynolds joining them on the podium for Erebus Motorsport.
It appears as if the changed tyre pressure and camber settings did not do the job they had hoped for with a strong of right front and rear tyre failures throughout the course of the 250km race.
Both Red Bull's suffered from tyre issues, then just a few laps from the end when he was running in a strong fourth place, Craig Lowndes had the exact same issue.
They were not the only ones as cars went out up and down the field, while the DJR Team Penskes of Scott McLaughlin and Fabian Coulthard also suffered.
Fabian was penalized for ignoring the red light in pitlane while Scott had rear bodywork flailing and it lost him time in the pits as the team got out the power saw and cut it off.
But, when all was said and done it was a Prodrive 1-2, Mostert's 9th win of his career and his first since 2015.
"It's been a pretty unique weekend," Chaz said. "The engineers were doing everything they could, this is a win for them,”
