The FFAย have appointed Scott Miller as Newcastle's new head coach on a two year deal.

Miller was formally at EPL club Fulham, first as a fitness coach, and more recently as under-21s manager.

The 33-year-oldย said it was the right time to move into coaching.

โ€œIt's the right time and the right place for me,โ€ said Miller.

โ€œI jumped at this wonderful opportunity to take the next step in my coaching career as Head Coach at a club that's making a new beginning.

โ€œI've heard a lot about the long and proud history of this football region and its passionate fans. Football clubs exist to bring joy to the people and that's a driving force in my thinking.โ€

The FFA took over the struggling club from Nathan Tinkler at the end of the 2014/15 season.
