According to reports coming out of Italy, former MotoGP champion Nicky Hayden is in hospital after being knocked from his push bike by a car in Rimini Italy on Wednesday.
The American World Superbike rider was out cycling with friends when he was reportedly hit by a Peugeot and after smashing the cars windshield in the process, ended up with severe chest and head injuries.
He was treat4ed at the scene along the Rimini Coastline before being transported to the local hospital.
Our thoughts are with the 35 yr old who beat Valentino Rossi to the MotoGP crown in 2006.
