Melbourne City have hit Harry Novillo with a training ban as the club investigates an alleged domestic altercation.
The striker was placed in handcuffs and escorted from a Southbank apartment by Police following a verbal altercation with his partner in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Victoria Police confirmed that officers responded to a call from a 23-year-old woman at around 3.30am, but no charges have been laid.
โThe club has begun a full investigation of the matter, engaging all associated and relevant parties,โ the club said in a brief statement on Wednesday.
โIn the interest of due process, the club is not in a position to comment further until the investigation is completed.
โHarry Novillo will not participate in squad training whilst the investigation is in progress.โ
