Azhar Ali has batted Pakistan into a strong position, as rain has again ruined day two of the Boxing Day Test, with just 51 overs bowled.
Pakistan started the day on 4-144, after a rain interrupted opening day, and day two followed a similar script, with persistent rain following warm, humid conditions in the morning.
The Australian bowlers struggled to make in roads in the first session, with opener Ali continuing where he left off last night, passing three figures shortly before the lunch interval, which was taken early due to light rain.
He shared in a 115-run stand with Asad Shafiq, guiding Pakistan out of trouble, after they had slumped to 4-125 late on day one.
Shafiq was eventually removed for 50, with Jackson Bird claiming his third wicket when play finally resumed after a two-hour rain delay.
Josh Hazlewood then nabbed his second wicket shortly after, removing Sarfraz Ahmed for just 10.
However, play was stopped yet again and then abandoned with the score at 6-310.
