Paceman James Pattison has been pulled out of Victoria's Sheffield Shield clash against Tasmanian to prepare for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.
Pattinson bowled 21.3 over overs during Tasmania's first innings at the MCG but has been withdrawn from the match by Cricket Australia to travel to New Zealand to rest before the Test opener on February 12.
It was the 25-year-old's first match back from a shin and back injury.
