South African skipper Faf du Plessis has praised the work of young Australian leg spinner, Adam Zampa.
“He bowled really well. I was really impressed with his consistency,” du Plessis said of Zampa after Australia's 2-1 T20 series win over the Proteas.
“It's exciting to see they've also got a really good leg-spinner. I feel that in T20 cricket you need a legspinner. It's worth gold if you have a guy who can spin the ball both ways.”
Zampa, 23, has 28 wickets IN domestic T20 cricket from 30 matches and 38 wickets at domestic one-day level from 27 matches.
He made his international T20 debut against the Proteas this month and his ODI debut against New Zealand in February and is in a good position to earn a spot in Australia's best XI in the upcoming World T20.
