Sam Michael, who made the move from McLaren's Formula One team to return to his native Australia almost two years ago, has joined the Triple Eight Engineering team so that they can take use of his engineering skills and experience for their contenders in the Supercars Championship.
Starting immediately, Michael will take on a ‘part-time mentoring role' to assist the team as they roll out new engineering appointments between now and the start of the 2017 season.
