Renault F1 completed their second and final day of testing at the Bahrain International Circuit on Wednesday with Sergey Sirotkin getting his first taste of the R.S.17.

The young Russian driver completed a total of 90 laps to record the ninth best time overall for the day.

He completed a full programme of tyre, aero, suspension and set up changes together with set-up assessments, as well as wind tunnel correlation work.

“It was quite a good, and quite a busy day, and it was great to be out in action as I've been waiting for this day a very long time!” Sergey said at the end of the day. “I enjoyed every second of being in the car, even if the programme was not the most exciting for the driver. The car is amazingly quick and I noticed the difference in grip immediately from the previous generation. That said, you soon get used to the extra speed. I can't wait to get to Sochi.”

The team will now head straight to Sochi ahead of next weekend's Russian GP.
