England's Ben Stokes has hit the second fastest double century in Test cricket history with a sublime innings against South Africa.
Stokes notched his double ton in just 163 balls, to sit second behind New Zealand's Nathan Astle, who reached the milestone from just 153 balls against England in 2001-02.
He resumed on day two on 74 not out from 93 deliveries, with England on 5-317.
He then blasted the Proteas' attack to all parts of the ground, scoring 130 runs in a singles session, to reach the lunch break unbeaten on 204 from just 167 deliveries in an innings that has so far included 26 fours and seven sixes.
He became the first English No.6 batsman to score a Test double century and he scored the most runs by an Englishman in a single session.
