Socceroo James Troisi has signed with Chinese Super League club Liaoning Whowin.

Troisi was a free agent after severing ties with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad due to unpaid wages.

The 27-year-old was being chased by several A-League clubs, but instead chose to join the legion of Aussies moving to the cashed up Chinese Super League.

Troisi joins the likes of Tim Cahill, Trent Sainsbury, Ryan McGowan and Michael Thwaite as Australians playing in China.
