After Kimi Raikkonen was called upon to do initial testing for Ferrari at their private testing track, Fiorano, recently, Thursday was Sebastian Vettel's turn to get to work testing the all new Pirelli wet weather tyres at the same venue.

However, while Kimi's run was virtually trouble free, Sebastian lost control of the modified ‘mule' Ferrari and slammed head first into the barriers.

The damage to the car was said to be extensive and as such the test was abandoned in the early afternoon.

Thankfully the German champion was not seriously injured in the shunt and managed to walk away with just minor bruising.

The test will continue today after the car has been repaired.
