Melbourne Victory defender Thomas Deng has joined Dutch giant PSV Eindhoven on loan for the 2016-17 season.
Deng impressed in the Victory backline last season, earning a two-year contract extension at the club.
He made 13 appearances for the club last season, 10 of those in the starting XI.
"In offering Thomas a contract extension we recognise he has enormous potential. We've seen how far he has come at this early stage in his career," Victory coach Kevin Muscat said.
"We see this as a great opportunity for Thomas to experience being part of one of Europe's biggest clubs for a season.
"Everyone at the club has worked hard to help Thomas get to a level where he can perform consistently in the A-League, and now it's about giving him the chance to experience European football to develop his game further.
"We will be watching from afar, and wish him well during his time in the Netherlands."
