Roger Federer has started his 2016 campaign with a comfortable straight sets win over German qualifier Tobias Kamke at the Brisbane International.

The current world No.3 defeated Kamke with ease, recording a 6-2, 6-1 win over the world No.233.

The win sets up a meeting with Grigor Dimitrov in the quarter finals, who completed a three set win over Victor Troicki on Thursday.
