Fresh from blasting a 78-ball century in the first innings, Warner bludgeoned the Pakistani attack all over the SCG once again, smashing the fastest half-century ever recorded by an Australian Test cricketer, reaching the milestone in just 23 balls.
His 50 was also the second fastest in Test cricket history.
His half-century included seven fours and three sixes and he looked well on track to better Brendon McCullum's 54-ball Test history if the onslaught continued. However, he was clean bowled on 55 off 27 balls as he attempted to smack Wahab Riaz over the off-side.
