In-form Australian opener David Warner will miss the rest of the ODI tri-series with South Africa and the West Indies due to a fractured finger.
Warner suffered the injury during the Aussies' 36-run win over South Africa on Sunday morning (AEST), when he set up the win with an impressive 109.
The 29-year-old will return home to Australia some time this week and he will miss somewhere between two to six weeks.
"He's in the form of his life and batting beautifully, so it's obviously going to be a big loss for us," said captain Steve Smith.
"But I'm sure whoever's going to step into that position is going to do a terrific job and hopefully we can continue the success we've had so far in the series.
"The most important thing is that he's right for the Test series (against Sri Lanka). I think the medical staff and Davey are confident he'll be fine for that first Test match."
It is not yet know if Warner will require surgery, with additional x-rays set to determine the best treatment.
