Stoke City has finally landed its man, with Xherdan Shaqiri signing with the Premier League side for a club record transfer fee.

The Swiss midfielder joins the Potters for a ยฃ12 million fee from Italian side Inter Milan, who he only joined in January.

The club announced on Tuesday that he has signed a five year deal at the Britannia Stadium.

โ€œHe's a dynamic and explosive player who will bring something different to the group and at the age of 23 he still has a great deal of potential,โ€ Stoke manager Mark Hughes told the club website.

โ€œIn the chats I've had with him, it's obvious that he's excited about playing in the Premier League and showing what he's capable of.โ€
