Aussie Formula One ace Daniel Ricciardo is looking forward to this weekend's season finale that will be a held on a circuit where he has normally done quite well. Daniel has finished ion the points here three times from the four occasions he has raced around the Yas Marina Circuit and with the way his Red Bull contender is performing, more so in the latter half of this season, it can only mean positive results once again…

“I've always gone well in Abu Dhabi; it's been really enjoyable in the past, especially the last sector underneath the hotel, that's great fun,” Daniel said. “It has a bit of a street circuit style to the layout, which I enjoy. Also, I had my first ever Formula One test at this track so it holds good memories and has generally been good to me.”

Daniel actually sorted out his World Championship position at the Mexican Grand Prix two races ago where by eventually being classed as third across the line, after penalties for the two drivers in front of him, he was classified third in the 2016 standings, behind the two Mercedes runners. Red Bull has also locked in second place in the constructors battle, therefore, it really doesn't matter where he finishes this race, points wise, so now it's all about fun…

“As it is the last race of the season I usually have some friends out for some fun and there is always a good atmosphere. It's kind of like the Middle Eastern Monaco, and it definitely has that vibe to it. There are usually some celebrities and good parties knocking around that weekend which adds to the buzz of the season finale.”

So what about away from the actual track itself? Is Abu Dhabi Daniel's kind of place?

“I love any kind of hot climate and being warm so I'm very much looking forward to getting out there. I try to get there a little earlier than usual and stay a bit afterwards to enjoy some time in the heat and get out into the desert, ride some bikes and have some fun.”
