Carmelo Anthony was the headline for the class of 2025. Anthony was most notable for the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks, where he played 15 of his 19 seasons.
The third overall pick in 2003 was a 10-time all-star, six-time All-NBA, All-Rookie team and the 2013 NBA scoring champion. Anthony was also part of the NBA's best 75th anniversary team.
Anthony also impacted basketball outside of the NBA, as he led the Syracuse college team to a National Championship, alongside his three gold medals on the Olympic stage for the USA.
He was also a star off court, where his nickname "Melo" is widely recognised by basketball fans across the world. His three-point celebration is one commonly used by his fans. This achievement was one well deserved for Carmelo Anthony.
Sue Bird was the headline for the women's side of inductees. Bird played until a remarkable age of 41, spanning 19 seasons.
Bird is considered a top 15 WNBA player in history with her amazing accomplishments of being a four-time WNBA Champion, 13-time All-Star, eight-time All-WNBA, three-time assists championship and three-time sportsmanship award.
